This website is run by EVS Europe Ltd, Units 1–2 Chilford Court, Rayne Road, Braintree, Essex CM7 2QS, United Kingdom. We are responsible (the “data controller”) for any personal data you give us through it.

In short

This website does not use cookies, analytics, tracking or advertising.
We only collect what you send us, and only use it to deal with your enquiry.
We never sell your details, and we don’t send you marketing unless you ask us to.
You can ask us to see, correct or delete your data at any time.

What we collect

Enquiry form: your name, company or organisation, email address, telephone number (optional), the type of enquirer you are, and your message.
Email and phone: whatever you choose to tell us when you contact us directly.
Technical data: like any website, our server and security software record your IP address and basic browser details when you visit. This is used only to keep the website working and secure.

How we use it, and why we are allowed to

To answer your enquiry, for example to send prices, drawings or approval documents. We do this because you have asked us to, before any contract (UK GDPR / EU GDPR Article 6(1)(b)), and because we have a legitimate interest in replying to business enquiries (Article 6(1)(f)).
To supply you, if you go on to order from us (contract), and to keep the records the law requires, such as accounts (legal obligation).
To keep the website secure and block spam and attacks (legitimate interest).

We will not use your data for any other purpose.

Cookies

This website does not set any cookies, and it has no analytics, tracking pixels or advertising. That is why there is no cookie banner. If this ever changes, we will update this policy and ask for your consent first where the law requires it.

Who we share it with

We do not sell, rent or trade your data. We only share it with the service providers that help us run the website and its email, and they may only use it on our instructions:

our website hosting and security providers;
Brevo (Sendinblue SAS, France), which delivers the emails the website sends, including your enquiry to us.

We may also share data with professional advisers or the authorities if the law requires it. If a provider handles data outside the UK or the European Economic Area, we make sure it is protected by approved safeguards, such as adequacy regulations or standard contractual clauses.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not lead to an order: deleted no later than two years after our last contact with you.
Customer records: for as long as we work together, and afterwards only for as long as the law requires (for example, six years for accounting records).
Security logs: a few weeks.

If you ask us to delete your data sooner, we will, unless the law requires us to keep it.

Your rights

Under the UK GDPR and the EU GDPR you have the right to:

get a copy of the data we hold about you;
have it corrected if it is wrong;
have it deleted;
restrict or object to how we use it;
receive it in a format you can pass to someone else.

To use any of these rights, email enquiries@evseurope.com. There is no charge, and we will reply within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, please tell us first so we can put it right. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk, 0303 123 1113) or, if you are in the EU, to the data protection authority in your country.

Keeping your data safe

The website uses an encrypted connection (HTTPS) and security software, and only the people at EVS Europe who need your data to deal with your enquiry can see it.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will publish the new version here and update the date at the top.

This policy is available in several languages. If there is any difference between them, the English version applies.
